With the women of the night: scenic reading in the district central library Mark Twain, Berlin

Three East German women come together to organize a scenic reading in the district central library Mark Twain in Berlin. On Thursday, September 26, 2024, at 8:00 p.m., visitors can experience Annett Gröschner, Peggy Mädler, and Wenke Seemann during their joint performance. The three friends sit down on a kitchen table and exchange ideas about their experiences as "Eastern women", reflect on their ways of life and discuss the complex interweaving of past and present.

Annett Gröschner is a writer and journalist from Magdeburg, Peggy Mädler an author and dramaturge from Dresden and Wenke Seemann a freelance artist and social scientist from Rostock. Each of the women brings their unique perspective on life in eastern Germany to the discussion.

The reading promises an evening full of memories, stories and profound discussions about the challenges and achievements of the past. With a lively view of East and West Germany, women want to encourage to work together on a better future and appreciate the diversity of life paths.
