Marzahn-Hellersdorf: Second Pride-Week planned
In Marzahn-Hellersdorf, a Pride Week will take place for the second time this year. The event is intended to combine a large number of institutions, schools, district centers and libraries in order to design a diverse program of gender and sexual diversity. As the crowning glory, the Marzahn Pride is planned for June 15, 2024. Interested parties can send their ideas for promotions to the queer officer Vanessa Krah by May 10, 2024.
The Pride Week serves to raise awareness of queer topics, to increase the visibility of the queer community in Marzahn-Hellersdorf and to promote the acceptance of LSBTIQ*. In many countries, a whole pride month is celebrated annually to celebrate the diversity of society and to point out existing injustices.
The actions for the Pride Week are diverse and range from film evenings to panel discussions to exhibitions. An important message of the event is the rejection of queer hostility and exclusion. The actions should preferably take place between June 7 and 16, 2024, but can also be carried out at a different time.
can participate all interested people, institutions and clubs. All ideas and events are collected and published in a flyer. If you are interested in being financially supported, you can contact Vanessa Krah. The contact details are listed below.
For further information and if you have any questions, Vanessa Krah is available as a representative for queer, city twinning and voluntary commitment. The Pride Week promises a colorful and diverse series of events to make the queer community more visible in Marzahn-Hellersdorf and to promote more acceptance and tolerance.
