Kerstin Hensel: The lost search for the Henkersknecht - reading in Berlin!
Last Wednesday, October 16, 2024, a special reading took place in the district central library "Mark Twain" Arthropy, Marzahner Promenade 55, 12679 Berlin. Kerstin Hensel, a renowned writer and lecturer at the Ernst Busch University of Applied Sciences, presented her book "Die Glückshaut".
The story is about Minna Leichsenring, which was born in the Ore Mountains in 1804 - in a so -called lucky skin. This medical phenomenon is said to guarantee a life full of happiness. But tragically, Minna is exposed to her mother in the forest. There she meets seven mountain boys, with one of them she later testifies to a son named Johannes. This becomes a handle and disappears from his mother's life. In your search for the lost son and her luck, Minna is put on unusual exams.
Kerstin Hensel unfolds a story with great storytelling that makes reality and imagination blur. Historical events mix with bonds on fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm, miner tales and fantastic events that are at E.T.A. Hoffmann remind.
The reading offered the audience a fascinating insight into the world of literature and imagination. Interested parties were able to register in advance and admission was free. However, donations were asked for the Förderverein Stadtbibliothek Marzahn-Hellersdorf e.V. to support future events.
