Next Sunday, July 6, 2024, the "Friends of the Gardens of the World e.V." an exciting hike planned through the Wuhletal. The route begins at 10:00 a.m. at the Hellersdorfer window, at the Wuhlesteg (also known as the "Rostbrücke"), in Berlin. The event, which will take about 2 hours, is known for the residents of Hellersdorf and Marzahn as well as as a popular local recreation area.

The Wuhletal has a long history that ranges from ice ages to the present day. Regina Troeder, a long -standing club member with 30 years of experience in environmental education for school classes and interested audiences, will shed light on the changes in the valley over time and the climate during the hike. The three deceased conservationists who have campaigned strongly to maintain nature in the Wuhletal are also to be honored. Today, the focus is on coping with the effects of climate change to create a climate silver military forest on the Kienberg.

It is recommended to wear solid shoes and sun protection because the tour is not wheelchair accessible. The event is free of charge for club members, but guests are very welcome and are asked to make a contribution to 3 euros. Interested parties are asked to register by email.
