District Mayor Nadja Zivkovic and district councilor Stefan Bley call to remember the November pogroms from 1938 - a dark chapter in German history that must never be forgotten!
With a lot of passion and creativity, the Swiss artist Desa will give her impressive speech "The Art of Remembrance". This artwork aims to dive deep into the thoughts of the memory. In addition, the pyramid is decorated with nourishing collages and powerful paintings by the artist from various creative phases, a true festival for the senses!
A look back: Alice Salomon in focus
In another dedicated speech, Prof. Esther Lehnert from the Alice Salomon University will illuminate the impressive life and work of Alice Salomon. Salomon had to emigrate from Nazi Germany in 1939-her topics are more relevant than ever today! Her heir as a humanist is newly developed through Lehnert's explanation, and she shows what important thoughts can result for our current society.

But that's not all! The event is musically accompanied by impressive performances by composer Viktor Ullman, who was murdered in Auschwitz in 1944. In addition, we can look forward to the emotional premiere of a newly composed work by the Mahlsdorf composer Susanne Stelzenbach, which picks up the core of the topic and thus rounds off the memory in an incomparable way.
