Alliance calls for democracy for democracy in Marzahn-Hellersdorf
On Saturday, April 20, 2024, a demonstration under the motto "Marzahn-Hellersdorf is colorful and cosmopolitan-for respect and democracy" will take place in Marzahn-Hellersdorf. The Alliance for Democracy and Tolerance calls for a sign of an open, democratic and solidarity society together. The rally starts at the Nikolai-E. Bersarin Bridge (Landsberger Allee / Zossener Str.).
The demonstrators want to take a sign against hatred and agitation with their participation in the event and stand up for a society in which all people are the same before the law and can live free and self -determined.
In Marzahn-Hellersdorf, there has been an active civil society for many years that is committed to democratic values and tolerance. In the past, the area was also the scene of clashes and conflicts in connection with right -wing extremists. The demonstration on April 20 should therefore also serve to set a clear sign against any form of extremism and discrimination.
