Exciting projects in Marzahn-Hellersdorf: District budget 2024 in action!

In Marzahn-Hellersdorf, 13 exciting projects will be implemented this year, which are financed by the 2024 district budget. After a project call in summer and a variety of creative ideas to improve your own neighborhood, the final vote in the Helle Mitte town hall took place on September 10, 2024.

The selected projects are characterized by their independence, low hurdles and short implementation periods. From self-organized hands-on activities to creative interventions in urban space to material investments, the range of ideas is wide.

The promising projects include a rainbow network for alternative relationship and family forms, weatherproof roofing in the garden of the Kunsthaus Flora, handicrafts with children, the design of Alice-Hertz-Platz and a light walk at the Wiesenpark.

The district budget enables residents to actively participate in the design of their living environment and to implement ideas for the embellishment and revitalization of the district. The commitment and diversity of the projects show the strong sense of community and the innovation spirit in Marzahn-Hellersdorf.
