Berlin (dpa/bb)-During a check on Sunday evening at Berlin-Ostkreuz station, the federal police discovered various drugs in a 34-year-old man. The drugs were hidden in a ravioli can. This was shared by the federal police on Monday.

The man carried a prepared canon box and two beverage cans. These were provided with a screw cap and weighed with plaster from the inside. This should prevent the unusual content of the doses during a control.

In the suspect's travel bag, small bags and a fine scale were also found. The Federal Police then initiated investigations into suspicion of the violation of the Narcotics Act.

However, no further evidence could be found during a subsequent apartment search. It remains to be seen whether the man acted alone or whether other people are involved in drug trafficking.

The finding of drugs in prepared cans is not a new phenomenon. Criminals keep trying to smuggle drugs in this way. Often the doses are complained with plaster or other materials in order to pretend a normal weight.

However, the federal police are well trained and pays attention to unusual behaviors or suspicious objects during their controls. As a result, such drug smuggling tests can be uncovered in many cases.

The 34-year-old man is currently being interviewed by the investigative authorities. It remains to be seen which information he will reveal and whether the federal police can connect to these drug finds.

It is pointed out that all accused are considered innocent until their guilt has been proven in court.
