Löwin in Brandenburg: Video shows predator in the forest

Berlin and Brandenburg are in a helly excitement: a Löwin went out on Thursday morning. A video shows the alleged outlier.

In the south of Berlin, numerous police officers, the veterinary office and hunting tenants have been in action since the early hours of the morning: Löwin is said to have run out on Thursday night. Eyewitnesses had reported to the police around midnight that they had seen how a Löwin had followed a wild boar in the Kleinmachnow-Teltow area, a spokesman for the Brandenburg police told the AFP.

residents are expressly asked not to leave their apartments and houses. Walking in the south -facing forests should also be avoided. The population was warned, among other things, with the help of Warnapps.

People who encounter the predator should immediately search for protection in houses or cars and inform the police. Where the predator comes from has not yet been clarified. If the animal is found, it would be stunned and handed over to animal welfare, said a police spokesman.

The search for the run -down Löwin continues on Thursday morning. The wildlife was sighted at Kleinmachnow at 2:00 a.m. on Thursday. The warning area has now been expanded to the south of Berlin, as the police announced on Twitter.

The Berlin Zoo also commented on the run -down wildlife. The predator is not an animal from Zoo or Tierpark Berlin, as can be seen from a press release from the zoo. It cannot be ruled out that it is a lioness, but this could not be confirmed due to the low quality of the recordings. Experts from the zoo and zoo explain that a lioness could well cope in a home in the summer months. In an unknown terrain, however, she would retreat to the undergrowth and not actively seek contact with humans. The risk of a direct attack on humans is less if the wild animal is on the open space than if it feels threatened in a residential area.

The municipality of Kleinmachnow reacted in search of the run -down predator and kept facilities open. The daycare centers are open, but the children should not go into the garden. The town hall also remains open. The retailers on the market were recommended not to build up any stands.

A video spread on Twitter shows the presumably run -up Löwin near a forest near Kleinmachnow. The video was recorded from a car. The police were already looking for the wildlife.

The search for the run -down lionin continues. Follow more information.
