Fourth comprehensive student: Inner assembly: Politicians: Interior react to school wishes
On Wednesday, June 5, 2024, the fourth comprehensive student: Inner assembly (GSV) for Lichtenberger primary schools of the Working Group Children and Youth Rights took place under the direction of the EJF GAG education association in the child and youth welfare association Janusz Korczak. In the previous meeting in December 2023, students had: inside the youth councilor Camilla Schuler (Die Linke) and the then school councilor Dr. Catrin Gocksch (CDU) hand over wishes, concerns and ideas in which they demanded political support. At this year's meeting, district councilor for youth and family, Camilla Schuler (Die Linke) and district councilor for school and sport, Kevin Hönicke (SPD), the pupils: answer.
District City Councilor Camilla Schuler emphasized that bullying and violence should not be tolerated in schools. Various projects such as de-escalation training, communication strengthening, escape rooms as well as co-determination and prevention projects were implemented to counteract these problems. Her colleague, district councilor Kevin Hönicke, praised the commitment of the students: inside and promised to respond to their wishes. Improvements in the area of lunch, the equipment and renovation of schools are the focus of his work.
A special highlight of this year's GSV was the participation of a student: Inner Parliament from Frankfurt am Main, the partner school of the Mayor-Ziethen primary school. This enabled the pupil: Inside a cross -border exchange about problems and solutions.
Overall, the GSV shows how important the participation of pupils is: inside in political decision -making processes and how concrete measures and projects can be implemented at the local level in order to make schools safer and more pleasant.
