Redesigned green area at the Erieseering in Lichtenberg inaugurated

On Tuesday, April 16, 2024, the newly designed green area at the Erieseering in Friedrichsfelde was officially inaugurated. The district councilor Filiz Keküllüoğlu, together with members of the playground commission and the district council Lichtenberg, revealed the result of intensive planning and cooperation between different partners. The green area was transformed by an unattractive sealed area into a near -natural place of relaxation and coexistence.

The new green area offers a variety of offers for all ages, including specially designed play areas for toddlers with animal sculptures and a tree house, inspired by the local rabbits and the fairy tale "Hase and hedgehog". Accessibility and inclusion were taken into account, and wheelchair trampolines and swings were even installed. Panorama loungers offer a relaxed view of the green area, while sports enthusiasts can enjoy Slacklines and a Calisthenics facility. A table tennis table and various seating options invite you to linger.

The total cost of planning and construction amounts to around 1,250,000 euros, which were financed from investment funds from the Lichtenberg district office. The redesign of the green area at the Erieseering is a successful example of the positive development of public spaces in the district and contributes to a lively and inclusive community.
