New cultural and tourism campaign starts in Lichtenberg
On June 3, 2024, the Lichtenberg district office started a new cultural, tourism and networking campaign with the slogan "Lichtenberg. More cultural summer than you think." Over 70 cultural and creative professionals from different areas gathered in the Theater an der Parkaue to experience the start of this initiative. The aim of the campaign is to make the district's cultural highlights tangible in the summer months of 2024 and to address a new tourist audience.
District Mayor Martin Schaefer (CDU) emphasized the importance of the cultural treasures that Lichtenberg has to offer. From cultural institutions such as Dark Matter, the Theatergasse and the Museum Karlshorst in the south to the B.L.O.-Ateliers, Haubrok Foundation and the Campus for Democracy in the north, the district offers diverse places of culture that want to be discovered.
The campaign runs from June 21 to September 30, 2024 and includes a variety of events such as the Fête de la Musique, 40 years of Hohenschönhausen, summer events in the Dark Matt Lichtkunst exhibition and much more. The offers are bundled on a website and advertised via various communication channels.
interested organizers have the opportunity to participate in the campaign by registering their events. Further information is available by email at Wirtschaftsfoerderung@lichtenberg.berlin.de or on the website of the district office.
The initiative "Lichtenberg. More cultural summer than you think." is carried out by the district business development agency in cooperation with the Office for further training and culture and financed by the Senate Department for Economic Affairs and Companies for special tourist projects.
Lichtenberg is characterized as a place that links the present and history together and exudes a fresh wind through its cultural projects and artists. The campaign should help to highlight Lichtenberg as a pulsating cultural and creative location and to attract even more visitors to the diverse events of the district.
