Sustainability weeks in Lichtenberg: Together for a green future
In the coming days, the sustainability weeks in the Lichtenberg district are pending. From September 23 to October 7, 2024, citizens have the opportunity to take part in diverse events. The activities take place in the districts of Fennpfuhl, Alt-Hohenschönhausen Süd and Neu-Hohenschönhausen.
The initiative offers a wide program to raise awareness of sustainable action. District Mayor Martin Schaefer emphasizes that sustainability is important and goes far beyond pure waste. The aim is to meet the needs of the current generation without affecting the resources for future generations.
District City Councilor Filiz Küllüoğlu from Bündnis 90/The Greens invites everyone interested to become active together. This commitment is of great importance in times of scarce resources.
The sustainability weeks start on September 23, 2024 with a clean-up day and an official opening from 5:00 p.m. in Otto-Marquardt-Straße 6 at the Benn-Fennpfuhl office. Interested parties have the opportunity to talk to Filiz Keküllüoğlu.
