Lantern parades in Lichtenberg: Invitation for families on November 10, 2023!

As was known, lantern parades take place on November 10, 2023 in Lichtenberg to celebrate Martin's Day on November 11th. The events are organized in cooperation with the Lichtenberg district office and offer families the opportunity to take part in the moves together. There are two separate meeting points for the removals. The first meeting point is located on the Freaaplatz on Siegfriedstrasse, where the move via Rüdigerstraße leads to the Howoge-Arena "Hans Zoschke" on Ruschestrasse. Martins history is told in the stadium and hot drinks and meals are offered. District Mayor Martin Schaefer supports the move as patron and organizer. The second meeting point is located in the Frankfurter Allee Süd area, behind the neighborhood house Orangery in Schulze-Boysen-Straße. The move leads via Tasdorfer Straße, Wartenberger Straße and Wilhelm-Guddorf-Straße and ends at the Kiezspinne. There is bread bread on the campfire, hot drinks and bratwurst from the grill.

This traditional custom of the lantern parade is a popular opportunity for families in Lichtenberg to share the anticipation of Martin's Day. The moves offer children the opportunity to proudly present their homemade lanterns and sing their favorite songs. In addition, the events enable the citizens of Lichtenberg to get involved in the community and use local resources such as the Lichtenberg Nord district center and the neighborhood spider. SV Lichtenberg 47 also participates in the organization and offers meals during the move.
