Gotlindestrasse - New visions for former cemetery area in Lichtenberg Nord!
The former cemetery area in Gotlindestrasse is faced with a redesign that the citizens can actively help shape inside. Four renowned planning offices have presented their visions for the area, which are exhibited by Monday, September 23, 2024, both on site in the shop window of the Lichtenberg North district center.
District City Councilor Filiz Keküllüoğlu from Bündnis 90/Die Grünen emphasizes the importance of citizens: Inner participation in the selection of the best project for the area. Interested parties have the opportunity to hand over their feedback on the designs, which a jury and the fan advisory board rated in a meeting on Friday, September 27, 2024. The final decision of the jury will then be announced from Monday, September 30, 2024.
The redesign aim to qualify the area as an attractive and pietary freedom for all residents: to qualify inside, taking into account monument, nature and climate protection requirements. Different uses are to be created that meet the needs of the residents: on the inside, and a cross -generational recreational area.
It is planned to bring visitors closer together through environmental education, local history and cultural issues. At the same time, the ecological qualities of the area should be improved and the chapel is to be secured as a model project of an energy -self -sufficient monument in order to enable neighborhood -related uses in the future.
