Community planting campaign in Neu-Hohenschönhausen: Environmental education and nature experience in focus

A joint planting campaign took place on Friday, October 20, 2023 in the green area between the sports field of the Fritz-Reuter secondary school and the children's and youth leisure facility "Holzwurmhaus" in Neu-Hohenschönhausen. The Lichtenberger Environment Councilor Filiz Keküllüoğlu (Bündnis90/The Greens) and members of the environmental and education working group took part.

On the occasion of the third day of environmental education, organized by the Coordination Office for Nature and Environmental Education Lichtenberg, students of the 14th integrated secondary school ( ISS ), the creativity primary school in Karlshorst and the Fritz Reuter secondary school. They were actively supported by employees of the Lichtenberg street and green area office, which provided spades, rakes, watering jans and plant soil. The Environment and Nature Conservation Office Lichtenberg contributed the plants (black elderberry, common hazel and dog rose).
