Opening of the modern Seepark primary school: a new learning location for Lichtenberg

A terrific festival in Berlin-Karlshorst! On Friday, October 11, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., the three-way Seepark elementary school will be ceremoniously opened! Blockdammweg 60 becomes the scene of numerous prominent faces, while the State Secretary for Bauen, Alexander Slotty, together with Dr. Torsten Kühne, the state secretary for school building and culprit, and district councilor Sandy Mattes, handed over the symbolic key.

This innovative educational institution offers space for extravagant 432 students! At the moment, 308 children who gave learning to learn are already finding a home here. A committed team of 41 educators accompanies the students, including 25 expert teachers who teach with passion and dedication.

"With the elementary school on Blockdammweg, we are opening a Berlin comm, school school again today," explains Alexander Slotty. It emphasizes the radiance of the modern learning environment, which inspires not only the students, but also the teachers. Flexible rooms, the highest technical equipment and a great 3-field sports hall enable good to feel and learn at the highest level. The green outdoor area ensures fun and fun and will be completed by the end of the year. A real contribution to climate protection is rainwater management and the use of photovoltaics and green roofs!

"This new Seepark primary school is a milestone in Lichtenberg!" raves Dr. Torsten Kühne. The school follows the modern com party principle - several small schools in a large complex. Thanks to the Berlin school building offensive, child -friendly learning landscapes and well -developed all -day offers are created here. And best of all: the construction only started in October 2022, and now, just two years later, the children can use the new space for their learning!

Sandy Mattes emphasizes the advantages of the flexible spatial concept: "School is rethought and lived here!" The school community has shown enormous commitment to create this great place. The plans and implementations were a joint effort of all participants from the Education Senate Administration and the Senate Department for Urban Development, Building and Living. They all did a remarkable job to enable the opening - a big thank you to everyone!

The modular primary school is full of possibilities. It was built with a clear focus on inclusion and accessibility according to the latest school standards. From community facilities on the ground floor to specialist areas and administrative offices on the upper floors, every aspect of everyday school life is covered.
