District councilor informs about measures at the Obersee in Alt-Hohenschönhausen

The district councilor for public space, Filiz Küllüoğlu (Bündnis90/The Greens), organizes a citizen together with the Environment and Nature Conservation Office and the support association Obersee & Orankesee e.V. to discuss the planned measures at Obersee in Alt-Hohenschönhausen. The event will take place on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. in the Obersee School, Roedernstraße 69-71 in 13053 Berlin.

The Obersee is an important place of recreation for the residents of Lichtenberg and for visitors from all over the city. However, the water quality of the lake is endangered, the ecosystem suffers from algae flowers and a high phosphorus load. At the event, the Lichtenberg district office presents planned measures to sludge the Sea of ​​the Obersee and to improve the sea water filter to tackle these problems and is available for questions from the present.

The Obersee and the Orankesee have a long history in Alt-Hohenschönhausen.
