Exhibition I am a Berlin 2.0 opened in the Lichtenberg town hall
District Mayor Martin Schaefer (CDU) will open the exhibition "I am a Berlin 2.0" of the photo club 1092 in the Lichtenberg town hall on Monday, March 18, 2024. The exhibition presents a new series of portraits of Berliners and builds on the first series of portraits shown in 2016. The photographs offer insights into the diverse ways of living and background of the portrayed people, regardless of whether they are new in Berlin or grew up here. The exhibition will be shown in the corridors of the first and second floor of the Lichtenberg town hall until May 17, 2024.
The photo club 1092 was founded in 1992 in Berlin-Hohenschönhausen. The number 1092 is derived from the postcode at that time and the founding date in October. There are currently 13 members in the club, who let off steam in almost all areas of photography. They meet every month in the Hohenschönhausen South Kieztreff to share their passion.
It is interesting to determine how the photo club has developed over the years and which creative works it produces. The exhibition not only offers visitors the opportunity to see impressive photographs, but also an insight into the diversity of the Berlin population and their stories.
It would be an enrichment for the local community to visit the exhibition and to be inspired by the portraits and stories. The photographs could also help strengthen the awareness of the diversity and uniqueness of people in Berlin.
It would be nice to see how local media cover the exhibition and what response it causes in the community. The event could also help enrich the cultural life in Lichtenberg and to appreciate the work of the photo club 1092.
