Letzter Triathlon in Schweinrich und Eichenfelde Am Samstag fand in Schweinrich und Eichenfelde der 14. Triathlon statt. Insgesamt nahmen rund 90 Teilnehmer, darunter 70 Einzelstarter und zehn Staffeln, an der Veranstaltung teil. Die Strecken für den Triathlon umfassten 1,5 Kilometer Schwimmen, 40 Kilometer Radfahren und zehn Kilometer Laufen. Beim Jedermann-Triathlon waren die Strecken etwas kürzer: 750 Meter Schwimmen, 21 Kilometer Radfahren und 5,6 Kilometer Laufen. Das Ziel für beide Distanzen war das Vereinshaus in Eichenfelde. Last triathlon in Schweinrich and Eichenfelde

The 14th triathlon took place in Schweinrich and Eichenfelde on Saturday. A total of around 90 participants, including 70 individual starters and ten seasons, took part in the event. The routes for the triathlon included 1.5 kilometers swimming, 40 kilometers cycling and running ten kilometers. With everyone triathlon, the routes were a little shorter: 750 meters swimming, 21 kilometers cycling and 5.6 kilometers. The goal for both distances was the club house in Eichenfelde.

At the Olympic distance, Stefan Schulz from the Ruppiner Triathlon Association (2:10:51) won the men and Lena Salfenmoser from SCC Berlin (2:54:10) for women. The "Rocky Balboa" team (2:19:46) won the Olympic season. At everyone's triathlon, Maik Waldburger from Groß Woltersdorf (1:16:13) won the men and Judith Tolander from the Ruppin Triathlon Association. The Ruppiner Triathlon Association also won (1:19:12) at the everyone's relay.

This year's triathlon was the last event of its kind in Schweinrich and Eichenfelde. Thomas Behrendt, the previous chairman of the Eichenfelde village association, will leave the club in a few days for personal reasons. At a club assembly it was decided that the triathlon will no longer be continued because no successor for the organization could be found. The effort for the event has been greater in recent years, as many helpers needed and high financial expenses had to be made. Despite initially low number of registrations, the triathlon could be carried out this year thanks to the announcement of the last event.

participants and visitors regretted the farewell to the Eichenfeld triathlon. The triathlete David Stephanek from Wittenberge emphasized how a shame it was that there will be no more regional event. The triathlon was accompanied by a beach volleyball tournament and ended with a beach party in the evening.
