Reading festival on the cultural island: Queere Author: Inside, their stories will be presented in Berlin on September 8th in Berlin

An afternoon full of queer stories and cultural diversity awaits visitors on September 8, 2024 on the cultural island in Berlin. From 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., guests have the opportunity to listen to ten renowned queer authors: listening to the inside of their works. The reading festival promises a unique atmosphere in which literature and queer topics are the focus.

The event takes place on the cultural island at Danziger Strasse 101, 10405 Berlin. The visitors: inside can stroll along the different stations and listen to the readings while you discover the works of the author: inside. From meadows to raised beds to the beer garden and the petrol column, there are various places where the stories awaken to life.

The author: Inside, a variety of topics and perspectives present. Among other things, Nora Eckert will present her experiences in "Like everyone, just different. A transsexual life in Berlin", while Cornelia Fleck will speak of "Queer Dulk. Other author: Inside like Joey Juschka, René Koch, Pierre Sanoussi-Bliss, Myriam Sauer and Lars Werner will also present their works.

The final concert at 6 p.m. in the honeycomb is particularly noteworthy, in which Kaey and José celebrities will inspire with a diverse music program. From original cover versions to classic jazz to chansons and own compositions, there is something for every taste.

The patronage for this inspiring event takes over Jenny Bluhm, the queer officer of the Pankow district. It will also be on site to give visitors an insight into their social commitment.

Admission to the reading festival is free and a barrier -free toilet is available. Visitors also have the option of buying books, signing and exchanging them with the author with a refreshing drink. Queere initiatives will also inform about their commitment and present the variety of LGBTQ+ community.
