The first exhibition entitled "Body Speicher Temple" is a solo exhibition by Susanne Ring. Here, ceramic sculptures, painting and drawings are shown that make deep considerations on body pictures. This exhibition is curated by Veronika Witte, which interprets the topic with a fresh, artistic look.

participatory art and discussion

The second project, "ArtMinistration Part 1", is a participatory exhibition that is also curated by Julia Heunemann and Ulrike Riebel. This exhibition examines administrative practices in art and culture and at the same time provides insights into precarious working conditions in the art sector. It is the first project of the office for curatorial research (BKF) founded in March 2025 and the start of a new, long -term exhibition series that is to be continued in various locations.

Visitors have the opportunity to actively participate in realizing this exhibition. In addition, consultation hours are offered for personal curatorial advice that take place on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., as well as by appointment.

art scene in Berlin

The exhibitions are part of a lively art scene in Berlin, which is characterized by contemporary styles and current sociopolitical topics. In the city that houses hundreds of galleries, many art forms are represented, including visual art, painting and digital art. The activities in Berlin are not only limited to established institutions such as the Academy of Arts and the House of Cultures of the World, but also to a dynamic young art scene that can be found in places like Urban Spree.

Regular art events such as the Gallery Weekend and Berlin Art Week attract art lovers from all over the world, while installations of risk artists such as Richard Serra and Keith Haring enrich the city. An example of current reflections on body pictures are also discussed in the book "Body Images" at Wortschau Verlag, where 27 authors, including Birgit Kölgen and Sophie Reyer, shed light on this view from the female perspective. The special edition appears in an appealing format and is an important addition to the current discussion about body pictures in art.

Die Galerie Nord, located at Turmstraße 75, 10551 Berlin, is open from Tuesday to Saturday, an invitation to everyone who is interested in contemporary art and do not want to miss the exciting program.
