an evening full of art and creativity in Lichtenberg

On September 6, 2024, the 17th long night of the pictures is celebrated in Lichtenberg. This annual cultural event offers visitors the opportunity to explore the diverse art scene of the district and to get in touch with the artists. The motto "Enjoying art, where it is made" is the focus of this event, which has been one of the cultural highlights in Lichtenberg for 17 years.

inspiring offers and artistic diversity

The long night of the pictures begins at 3:00 p.m. with various offers from the Lichtenberg art education, which are supposed to inspire the visitor's own creativity. In addition to palpitations for blind and visually impaired people to the sculptures in the Fennpfuhlpark, a concert by the Berlin Jewish Folk band Folkadu is also on the program. The band's songs tell of love, nostalgia and integration and promise an unforgettable evening.

From 6:00 p.m. to midnight, the artists open their studios, workshops and galleries for interested visitors. The broad spectrum of art in Lichtenberg is presented impressively, from painting and performance to ceramics and AI-made works. The long night of the pictures thus offers a fascinating insight into the creative world of the district.

From 6:00 p.m., guided thematic tours start on foot or by bike to selected locations in Lichtenberg. The guides from art and culture accompany the groups and share interesting stories about the places and people who visit them.
