On Thursday morning, an employee of the Berlin city cleaning (BSR) discovered a ball bomb behind a container during a control course on a recycling center in Schmargendorf. The incident occurred around 11 a.m. on the BSR-Hof in Forckenbeckstrasse. After the discovery, the employee immediately alerted the police. This quickly became active and disposed of emergency services that removed the ball bomb.

The special forces of the State Criminal Police Office (LKA) took over the professional disposal of the dangerous explosives. Fortunately, the daily operation at the recycling center was not affected by the incident.
