Criticism of educational senator: bullying scandal causes excitement in Berlin!

The political landscape in Berlin is currently shaken by a serious scandal around the Senator for Education Katharina Günther-Lüsch (CDU). The Greens in the Berlin House of Representatives have announced a disapproval application against the senator. The trigger for this is a wrong statement in connection with the bullying case of the teacher Oziel Inácio-Stech at the Carl Bolle School, which was harassed. Günther-Wünsch had initially declared that the extensive letter from the lawyer of Inácio-Stech only noted after reporting in May. In a correction, she admitted that the letter was actually present with her before, but regretted that this was not reminiscent of her. The affected educator calls for responsibility for the grievances and expresses his lack of trust in the senator.

The case inácio-Stech is particularly explosive because it shows the systematic defects in dealing with bullying in schools. According to sueddeutsche.de, Inácio-Stech, who is active as a pedagogical teaching aid for years, was floated by a colleague and was insulted by schooly homophob. Even after he recorded all the incidents and informed both the school management and the school supervision, he received no help. Rather, his employment relationship was further burdened by an advertisement against him.

a serious accusation

The allegations against Inácio-Stech led the police to quickly hire the investigation according to the statements of students, which many in school and beyond. One student reported that the bullying teacher actively asked her to express false allegations against the educator. In addition, Inácio-Stech's colleagues reported that the denounced teacher had consumed drugs and drank alcohol during class.

As part of this scandal, the staff council of the Carl Bolle School turned to Inácio-Stech and advised him not to address his sexual orientation. This requirement indicates a major problem: diversity and understanding in schools are often limited, especially in an environment that is shaped by one -sided values. The staff council emphasized that the many children from so -called “traditional parents' houses” make it difficult to include school culture.

Missing measures against bullying

The case not only draws attention to the individual fate of Inácio-Stech, but also to the general bullying problems in Berlin schools. Norman Heise, Chairman of the State Parental Committee, emphasizes that bullying and appropriate prevention measures are essential in every school. Investigations and support from school management are often poor. Heise calls for an active approach to bullying and emphasizes the need for conversation offers and auxiliary stops.

The initiatives to combat bullying include internal and external contact points such as school social workers, advice centers and the online portal "Mobbing-Advice Berlin Brandenburg". It is evident that the topic of bullying in schools is not sufficiently treated despite the repeated incidents.

The Green Group has criticized the false statement of Günther-Wünsch as considerable and irresponsible. On Thursday there will be a pronunciation in the House of Representatives, in which various factions will represent their positions on this topic. However, a result of a vote has no immediate legal consequences.
