Free cultural Sunday in the Nikolaiviertel: Experience Berlin!

Mitte, Deutschland - On May 4, 2025, a special day of action will take place in the Nikolaiviertel in Berlin under the motto "Sunday in the Nikolaiviertel". The Berlin City Museum has put together a varied and diverse program that is accessible free of charge for all visitors. The various events take place in the Museums Ephraim-Palais, Knoblauchhaus and Nikolaikirche. This was announced by the Berliner Zeitung

The day of action offers the opportunity to discover the culture and history of Berlin. A highlight is a workshop that deals with the traditional craftsmanship of the embroidery. This starts at 11 a.m. in the Knoblauchhaus and is supported by the Berlin "collective embroidery". Visitors can also look behind the scenes of an exhibition between 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. in the Ephraim Palace, which deals with the photo exhibition "Berlin in the Blick". In this context, museum employees are available who explain the art of curating.

admission prices and discounts

Regular entry to the museums costs seven euros, but there are numerous discounts. Children and adolescents under the age of 18, students as well as various groups such as FSJ and BFD performers can visit the museums free of charge. A Kombi-Ticket enables entry to all three museums in the Nikolaiviertel, whereby it is valid for two days. A day ticket for the Knoblauchhaus museum costs five euros.

The event is aimed at both locals and tourists who want to experience the cultural offers in one of the historic corners of Berlin. The program not only includes tours through the museums, but also numerous hands -on activities that actively involve visitors to the culture of the Nikolaiviertel.

sensors and gentle activism

In addition to the cultural offers in the Nikolaiviertel, an accompanying project addresses embroidery as a gentle activism. This art form is viewed as a luxurious pastime and is intended to think about thinking about your own creative potential. Information on these initiatives can also be found on the website of the Berlin City Museum.

So the "Sunday in the Nikolaiviertel" is not only an opportunity to experience the fascinating history of Berlin, but also a call for active participation in the cultural life of the city. The participants can look forward to an inspiring day with many options.
