Free workshops for provision: Make decisions for an emergency!

Philipp-Schaeffer-Bibliothek, Brunnenstr. 181, 10119 Berlin, Deutschland - On June 12, 2025, the district mayor of Mitte, Stefanie Remlinger, announced the upcoming workshops for personal provision and legal support in the Philipp-Schaeffer library. These events are part of the Berlin Senior Week and are aimed at all age groups who want to deal with significant decisions for the emergency. The workshops take place in cooperation with the care association in the middle of the folk solidarity of Berlin and are free of charge for the participants.

In the first event, which will take place on Thursday, June 19, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Here, the participants receive practical information on important decisions that need to be made in order to ensure self -determination even with future incapacity to act. The workshop is open to questions and is designed in an understandable way.

legal support in the focus

A week later, on Thursday, June 26, 2025, the second workshop entitled "What is legal care?" From 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. offered. In this event, the importance and influence of legal support are explained. The aim is to provide information early in order to avoid the need for legal care.

The workshops deal with the topic of the pension orders that are of great importance for many people. A person's power of attorney enables a person to regulate legal, financial and health matters on behalf. Every adult can be determined as an authorized person, but should be someone who is fully familiar with. In contrast to legal care, agents do not have to report to the care court on their actions if there is a power of attorney. This power of attorney can also be used for certain areas such as health, care and wealth care, which makes it an important instrument of self-determination in order to avoid legal care, such as healthy.bund.de.
