Free e-bill: Support for the self-employed from 2024
Digital invoicing for self -employed from 2025: opportunities and challenges for the community
The introduction of the e-account system in Germany, which will fully come into force on January 1, 2025, represents a significant innovation in the area of invoicing, especially for solo self-employed people. A current survey shows that almost half of the independent difficulties have the existing bureaucratic requirements. The new regulation could therefore be an additional hurdle for many.
This new era of e-billing not only affects the way invoices are created and sent, but also has profound effects on the working methods of the self-employed across the country. Change to digital invoices is a reaction to the increasing requirements for transparency and efficiency in business transactions.
In order to make the changeover easier, the Tax App Accountable offers a free version of your software from October 1, 2024. This enables a legally secure creation, shipping and reception of e-bills. Tino Keller , co-founder of Accountable, emphasizes the importance of this initiative: "We want to help the solo self-employed and freelancers, who are often overwhelmed with bureaucracy, to integrate this new technology easily and user-friendly."
The new regulations require self-employed people to deal with technical formats such as X-bill, Zugferd and the Peppol infrastructure. Many of these terms may not be familiar with all self -employed people, which makes the situation even more complicated. To counteract this, Accountable enables users to easily convert their existing PDF documents into the required e-bill formats.
With over 10,000 active users in Germany, Accountable has established itself as a leading solution in the field of tax advice. The app developed since 2018 has already processed over 65,000 tax returns and aims to facilitate the management of their tax matters.
The digitization of the invoice is not only a technical progress, but also a step into a future in which the self -employed can manage their finances more efficiently. Overall, this development can lead to a strengthening of the community of freelancers and small business owners by improving access to necessary resources and breaking down bureaucracy.
In the coming months, it will be shown how well the self -employed accept these changes and how they use the tools offered to master their daily challenges. After the successful implementation of the e-bill, further innovations could follow that make working in self-employment even easier and more accessible.
