Originally, the Knaack Club started as a youth center in 1952 and developed into a popular venue for concerts over the decades, where, among other things, band sizes such as Rammstein and the dead pants performed. The cultural and musical importance of the Knaack club is undeniable, despite the challenges that gentrified districts. The closure of the club in 2010 led to a term known in Berlin: "Club death".
