(Duisburg/Berlin, September 17, 2024) An exciting moment for children and adolescents: The nominations for the Kindenothilfe Medien Prize 2024 were announced! In the "Prize of the Children's Jury" category, courageous girls and boys raised their voices to choose leading reports on the most pressing topics of their Generation. Your focus? War, child labor and death. Topics that not only shock, but also shake up!
proud and determined, a group of nine children chose which contributions are closely selected. "We know that many children live under bad conditions. We often talk about it, but what is really done? With this price we want to change this and hopefully improve their lives," says eleven -year -old Lennox full of conviction. A strong statement that doesn't leave anyone cold!

The candidates for the "Prize of the Children's Jury" are impressive and show how important the topic of child rights is. This price is awarded every year, now for the 13th time, and it is endowed with a whopping 10,000 euros! The big highlight is the award ceremony on November 15, in which the winners are chosen. Then the jury, consisting of eleven to twelve-year-old students from three schools in Berlin, meets to announce the leaders in a solemn setting.
Another highlight of the event is the "Story on Stage" price, in which outstanding contributions are recognized. These events are actively supported by the partners of the Kinderothilfe who work for a better future of children. The award promises tension and emotions up close - a must for everyone who is committed to the rights of the children! The Kindenothilfe is not only a source of hopes and dreams for many, but also protects and promotes over 2.2 million children in a total of 36 countries. It is one of the largest Christian child law organizations in Europe and has been active with the media award for children's rights since 1999!
