Child and youth prize: Talented projects from all over Germany honored

This year's Children's and Youth Prize of the German Children's Aidswerk has awarded projects from all over Germany. With prize money of 6,000 euros each, initiatives were recognized that enable children and adolescents to help shape their living environment. The excellent projects include a fashion collector in Berlin, which works with mentally ill and addicted young people, as well as the "rescuer hearts" from Wittmund, a group of schoolchildren, organized first aid workshops at schools and in senior institutions. In Mittelherwigsdorf, too, a ideas for children and adolescents contributed to the fact that they can participate in their community life.

In addition, a number of participants received praise mentions, each endowed with 3,000 euros. These awards went to projects in Lenzkirch, Lübeck and Torgelow. A total of six groups fought for prices in the final, with the German Children's Aid Work for over 50 years of being involved in children's rights and is mainly financed by donations.
