After a driver reported a supposed lioness in the Teltow, Kleinmachnow and Stahnsdorf area last week, a large search was started. Numerous residents were warned and asked to take precautions. But now it is clear: in Berlin never had a free -range lion.

According to the experts from the Leibniz Institute for Zoo and Wildlife Research, the animal viewed is most likely a wild boar. However, the authorities do not want to finally commit themselves because the results of the laboratory analyzes are still standing. These examinations are very complex and lengthy and take time.
