Fight for the Sommerbad Spucki in Lichterfelde: Local residents start petition for reopening during the legal dispute between the tenant and BBB smoldering
Title: The Summerbad Spucki in Lichterfelde - an uncertain future
In Berlin, many outdoor pools are currently fighting with visitors and violent problems. At the same time, however, there are also unused swimming pools that are empty. One of them is the once popular summer pool Spucki in Lichterfelde, which now leaves and expires. But the residents want a reopening and even started a petition. However, a legal dispute between the former tenant and the Berlin bathroom businesses (BBB) is raging behind the scenes.
A committed resident has already collected 1009 signatures to support the preservation of the bath. He describes the condition of the bath as shame and feels abandoned by the responsible authorities. In his view, it is important to renovate the swimming pool to prevent further damage. As a long -time resident of Lichterfelde, he very much appreciates the atmosphere and the surrounding area of the district, which also includes the Spucki summer pool.
The popular outdoor pool was concluded last September due to an untried lease agreement with the operator. Negotiations on the continuation of the bath had failed, and now a court should decide on the conflict. The former tenant's lawyer reports extensive renovation work during the lease time, but not all damage could be remedied. In particular on the chlorine system, there was considerable damage of over 120,000 euros that the tenant cannot pay. In order to maintain the operation, attempts were made to be economically successful by operating a sauna system.
According to the lawyer, the state of Berlin does not act in market -oriented and slowly reacted to water damage in 2021, which led to the closure of the bath. The repair work could have been done at short notice, but the country needed over a year to award the order. The tenant's company loss insurance only reimbursed a fraction of the damage, which led to significant costs for the tenant. During the Corona pandemic, she was terminated without notice, although the legal situation regarding the rental payments during an official closure was unclear. The lawyer emphasizes that companies such as that of her client who maintain a company despite numerous challenges should be valued.
The BBB does not comment on the allegations and have rejected a visit to the spit. According to a spokeswoman, the entire location is in a desolate state, which means that the summer bathroom is not able to operate safe. An repair would require a lot of time and financial resources that are currently not available. The location is currently being analyzed to plan the further development of the property. Therefore, the BBB cannot currently make any statements about the other plans for the summer pool.
The future of the SPUCKI summer pool in Lichterfelde remains uncertain. However, the residents continue to hope for reopening and continue their efforts to point out the importance of the bath for the Steglitz-Zehlendorf district.
