Jordan shows strength against Iran: drone shot down

In the night of Sunday, Jordan successfully shot dozens of Iranian drones near the Iraqi-Syrian border. These drones apparently had Jerusalem as the goal. The Jordanian government confirmed the incident and stated that no people were injured and that there were no major damage to buildings.

Despite the success of shooting the drones, Iran warned Jordan of a interference into the conflict and threatened that the country would be the next goal. Nevertheless, Jordan held on his line and, as a precaution, followed the airspace to ensure security in the region. This step was withdrawn after ten hours.

Jordan's approach is particularly remarkable, since it positions itself as an Arab country against both Iran and other neighboring Arab countries such as Syria. The "Jerusalem Post" praised this step and emphasized Jordan's Transformation from the enemy to the ally, especially after the peace treaty with Israel in 1995. Before this contract, Jordan was considered a military opponent of Israel for decades.
