Jordan supports NATO countries and shoots Iranian drones
In a nightly campaign on Sunday, Jordan also attacked Iranian drones together with NATO countries such as the USA, Great Britain and France. These drones should obviously achieve Jerusalem as the goal. According to media reports, Jordan managed to intercept dozens of drones near the Iraqi-Syrian border without people being injured or damaging buildings.
The Jordanian government confirmed the incident on Sunday morning and explained that the shot objects had entered the Jordanian airspace. Despite the successful defense campaign, parts of shot down rockets in Jordan fell from heaven, while Iran warned of interference in conflict. For security reasons, the authorities had temporarily closed the airspace and only opened again after ten hours.
It is particularly noteworthy that Jordan as an Arab country was not only against Iran, but also against direct Arab neighbors like Syria. The "Jerusalem Post" praised the approach of Jordan as a sign of the transformation of enemy to the ally. Before the peace treaty with Israel in 1995, Jordan was a military opponent of Israel for decades.
This cooperation with NATO countries and the determined reaction to the threat of Iranian drones show that Jordan is willing to defend his sovereignty and actively tackle security risks in the region. The Jordanian participation in the shot campaign illustrates the serious threat, which emanates from enemy drones, and underlines the determination of Jordan to defend itself against potential attacks.
