Jordan helps to shoot off: Throwing drone attacks by Iran
In the night of Sunday, not only NATO countries such as the USA, Great Britain and France, but also the neighboring country of Israel, Jordan, shot down Iranian drones with fighter jets. According to media reports, Jordan managed to intercept dozens of drones near the Iraqi-Syrian border that Jerusalem had as a potential goal.
The Jordanian government confirmed the incident on Sunday morning and explained that the shot objects had entered the Jordanian airspace. Fortunately, no people were injured and there were no major damage to buildings.
Despite the reaction of Jordan, the Iran warned the country of a interference into conflict and threatened consequences. Previously, Jordan had announced to shoot drones that would violate airspace.
The approach of Jordan is particularly remarkable, since it stands as an Arab country not only against Iran, but also against direct Arab neighboring countries such as Syria. This development shows a transformation from a former military opponent to an ally, especially since the peace treaty with Israel in 1995.
