Yearbook Zehlendorf 2025: Stories from 250 years of history!

The Zehlendorf yearbook 2025 is now available in the Zehlendorf local museum for 5 euros. The edition celebrates the 250th birthday of Ferdinand Fintelmann, the court gardener of the Pfaueninsel, and also offers twelve other articles from various districts of Zehlendorf. Among the topics there are interesting stories about the post-war period in Zehlendorf, including CVs from students from the Droste-Hülshoff secondary school between 1945 and 1947 as well as the challenges of the district in 1949/1950.

In addition, historical insights into the Zehlendorf-Grunewald villa colony, which was founded 120 years ago, and there are portraits of important personalities, including movement teacher Elfriede Hengstenberg and the doctor Edwin Wladislaw Katzen-Ellenbogen. All author: Inside, volunteers have been committed to enriching the yearbook with new stories. Visitors can visit the local museum in Clayallee 355 on Sundays and Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on Thursdays from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Further information is available at www.berlin.de.
