IS supporters arrested in Bernau: planned attack on message!
Bernau bei Berlin, Deutschland - nag/NAG editor - in dramatic access, the federal prosecutor arrested a suspected supporter of the Islamic State (IS) in Bernau near Berlin. According to information from the "Bild", the Libyan suspect plans an attack on the Israeli embassy in Berlin. The accused's apartment was searched, and searches were also held in the Rhein-Sieg district in North Rhine-Westphalia, but only with a non-suspicious person.
The German authorities were alerted by a specific reference to foreign intelligence services. The suspect is said to have planned to flee his uncle in Sankt Augustin after his planned attack. It is still unclear whether he wanted to use weapons or explosives. The uncle is not managed as a suspect, but as a witness. The arrested person will be demonstrated on Sunday to an investigative judge of the Federal Court of Justice who has to decide whether he is in custody. The federal prosecutor treats such cases as one of the greatest dangers to the security of Germany, since last year almost 500 of the more than 700 investigative proceedings were motivated to Islamist.
