Illegal fireworks warehouse in Berlin-Spandau: 200 kilos secured!
In a dramatic commitment of the police in Berlin-Spandau, around 200 kilograms of illegal fireworks were secured. The officers received a crucial tip that led to searching the apartment of the 35-year-old suspect, as both RBB24 and the daily mirror reported. The alleged owner is said to have offered the explosive material in the circle of friends and acquaintances for sale. It is believed that the firecrackers and spherical bombs have been smuggled from the Czech Republic, which increases the danger of this pyrotechnics.
The search took place on Thursday morning. During their campaign, the police not only found the numerous illegal fireworks, but also an unauthorized weapon weapon and nine permissible PTB weapons in the man's apartment. The 35-year-old admitted his crime and voluntarily provided the weapons to the officials. He is now determined against him due to the unauthorized possession of firearms and the import of explosive substances without permission.
explosions at the turn of the year
It is particularly noticeable that regular illegal fireworks in Berlin are regularly in circulation at the turn of the year. These are often more potent than the firecrackers allowed in Germany, which can lead to violent explosions. The police therefore continue to pursue strict measures this year to ensure security in the city, including the establishment of firecracker prohibition zones, such as RBB24 and Tagesspiegel. In the case of tension and the multitude of police operations, this incident once again represents the challenges and risks associated with illegal fireworks.
