Historical walk: in the footsteps of Johann Dressels in Alt-Charlottenburg

The district mayor Kirstin Bauch will lead the 260th neighborhood walk on Saturday, October 12, 2024. The meeting point is at 2 p.m. at the entrance to Charlottenburg Castle, Spandauer Damm (M45). The route will follow the traces of Johann Dressel through Alt-Charlottenburg and end at Gierkeplatz, 10585 Berlin, on the Luisenkirche.

Johann Christian Gottfried Dressel, a German pastor, reformer and chronicler, is honored on the walk. Dressel was known for his reforms in the school system and his commitment to social improvements in Charlottenburg. His day of death marks the 200th time on October 16.
