Berlin, Deutschland - Hertha BSC has carried out an important personnel course. Sami Allagui becomes the new coordinator of the club. The official announcement took place on Friday on the club website. Allagui, who previously worked as an assistant to the sporting management, assumes the responsibility for the management planning and will strengthen the interlinking between the professional team and the academy team. In his new role, Allagui will work closely with sports director Benjamin Weber.
At 39, Allagui has experience as a former football professional and extensive knowledge of his previous work at Hertha BSC. During his active career, he had 108 missions in the Bundesliga and 159 in the second division. It will fill the vacuum, which was created by the departure of Andreas Neuendorf, the former director of the academy and license player area, as well as the position of squad planner Timon Pauls, who has switched to Karlsruher SC.
