Big fire in Berlin-Mitte: Restaurant in Flames, several injuries!

On Thursday morning, a devastating fire broke out in Berlin-Mitte in a restaurant on Oranienburger Straße/corner of Linienstraße. The fire that started around 8 a.m. led to several injuries, as a spokesman for the fire brigade confirmed. Due to the severity of the incident, the alarm keyword was triggered for a mass attack on injuries (MANV). A helicopter is in use to monitor the location from the air, while clouds of smoke are visible from afar.

The flames already hit the first floor from the ground floor, which presents the fire brigade with great challenges. Oranienburger Straße is closed in both directions between Friedrichstrasse and Tucholskystrasse so as not to hinder the rescue and extinguishing work.
