Big fire on SBAZV site in Ludwigsfelde: warehouse with waste paper on flames
On Thursday evening, the fire brigade was called for a large -scale operation in Ludwigsfelde. On the site of the SBAZV, a fire broke out in a warehouse in which waste paper was stored. The neighboring Recyclinghof was not affected by the fire.
More than 60 emergency services of the surrounding fire departments hurried to the fire town and fought the flames in the warehouse. Among other things, two fire trucks were used. The firefighters wore breathing apparatus to protect themselves from the smoke. Due to the strong smoke development, a warning about the warning apps Nina and Katwarn was published. Residents were asked to close doors and windows. However, the smoke moved into the area around Ludwigsfelde for miles, but nobody was in direct danger.
In order to get the burning waste paper from the warehouse, an excavator was used. In the meantime, the extinguishing work continued. The use lasted until late in the evening. Meanwhile, the firefighters were provided with meals.
The exact cause of the fire is still unclear and is examined by the police. Traces have already been secured. It is not yet known how much the financial damage is through the fire.
Due to the fire on the SBAZV site, there are no restrictions for the Recyclinghof on the Löwenbrucher Ring. This is open on Friday as usual from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
