Large alarm in Berlin: suspected poisoning with Mother of Kremlin critic!

On Tuesday, a possible poisoning case in Berlin caused an alarm mood. The mother of the well-known Kremlin critic Vladimir Kara-Mursa, Elena Gordon, was taken to the hospital, after she suspected that she had come into contact with a dangerous substance. According to a report by B.Z. she had touched the door handle and then complained about nausea what led to her transportation of the Berlin Charité.

The police took up the investigation and checked whether there was a targeted attack with a nerve poison. However, the first blood tests showed no signs of poisoning, and the police gave the all -clear on Thursday with regard to a homicide. "The initial suspicion of a homicide has not been confirmed," confirmed the police on X, as Die Zeit . Kara-Mursa himself expressed itself optimistically: "My mother is in a Berlin hospital, but thank God, thanks to God, the suspicion of poisoning and heart attack has not been confirmed."

Investigations and backgrounds

Treatment and more precise diagnostic measures by 43-year-old Elena Gordon are on, however. The Bundeswehr and scientific institutes are involved in analyzing possible traces of poisons. In the past, Wladimir Kara-Mursa, who himself was the goal of poison attacks, was particularly notorious for his critical attitude towards the Russian regime. He had only come released in August of this year after a prisoner exchange between Russia and the West after he had been imprisoned for treason.
