The former football star o.J. Simpson passed away from the consequences of cancer at the age of 76, as his family announced. Born on July 9, 1947 in San Francisco, Simpson was known as a sporting talent at a young age and, as a professional in the NFL, achieved great success with the San Francisco 49ers and the Buffalo Bills.
After retiring from professional sports, Simpson established himself as an actor in films and television series as well as as a sports commentator. However, his career and public perception changed dramatically in 1994, when after a live chase with the police, the bodies of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman were found.
Despite a process of century in 1995, which surprisingly ended with an acquittal, the above was Simpson later liable for the death of the victims in a civil proceedings and sentenced to a compensation payment. Further legal problems followed, including a conviction of 33 years in prison for armed robbery and assault in 2008 in Nevada. After early dismissal in 2017, Simpson lived a life away from the public in Las Vegas, where he was surrounded by his children and grandchildren when he died.
