Dangerous intervention: ambulance in Berlin willfully sabotaged!
A shocking incident shakes Berlin when paramedics and a patient were endangered because the wheel bolts of an ambulance were deliberately loosened. The Berlin police reported that the rescue workers were traveling in the Wannsee district early in the morning to take a patient to the hospital. Suddenly they heard striking noises and noticed a strange driving behavior of their vehicle. During a review, it turned out that all wheel bolts had been manipulated on a rear wheel, which led to a serious danger. In this dangerous situation, the police are now investigating due to the suspicion of a dangerous interference in road traffic, such as berlin-live.de
Violence against rescue workers in Berlin
This incident is not isolated, but part of a worrying trend of violence against rescue workers in Berlin. According to current figures, there were a total of 513 attacks on paramedics, nurses and firefighters by the end of August 2024, with most of the attacks on nursing staff. 104 attacks concerned firefighters and 94 other rescue workers. In half of the cases, it was bodily harm. Despite a slight decline compared to the previous year, the situation remains serious, said SPD MP Jan Lehmann. He calls for a comprehensive prevention strategy to stop such violent acts. "Threats or violence against the lifesaver must not be tolerated," emphasizes Lehmann, such as rbb24.de
The Berlin police also indicated that the missions before clinics have increased drastically in recent years, which underlines the need to develop individual solutions and prevention measures. These violent attacks affect not only emergency services, but also teachers, police officers and other professional groups who are increasingly exposed to violence. The incident in Wannsee is a clear sign that the security of our lifesaver is in acute danger.
