Memory for the first anniversary: Tempelhof-Schöneberg shows solidarity with Israel
Today, the district office Tempelhof-Schöneberg commemorated the victims of the anti-Semitic massacre in Israel, exactly one year after the terrible act. The deputy mayor Matthias Steuckardt led the memorial event, to which prominent guests such as Rabbi Yehuda Teichtal and Israeli clarinetist only appeared. Michael Raddatz, superintendent of the Evangelical Church Circle Tempelhof-Schöneberg, was also there to commemorate together at the Schöneberg town hall.
The event underlines the close connection with the Israeli twin city of Nahariya, which is tirelessly wishing for peace. Just ten kilometers from the conflict zone, Nahariya is severely affected by the current developments. This silent commemoration is an important sign of solidarity and memory in turbulent times.
