Yandé Seck introduces the debut novel White Clouds
District Mayor Clara Herrmann informed in a press release about the upcoming book presentation of the debut novel "White Clouds" by Yandé Seck in the district central library Pablo Neruda. The reading is moderated by Karla Kutzner from Intercontinental and will take place on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at 7 p.m. Admission is free, but registration under the link specified is required.
in "White Clouds" Yandé Seck tells the story of two sisters who are faced with various social challenges. While one deals with the wrongdoing of the present, the other fights against the bourgeois family ideal. The book illuminates the ambivalences with which we are confronted both in personal and social life, and reveals inherent joke and cleverness.
yandé Seck was born in Heidelberg in 1986 and spent her childhood both there and in Frankfurt am Main. She works as a psychotherapist for children and adolescents, teaches at the University of Frankfurt and researches topics such as motherhood, migration and psychoanalysis. "White clouds" marks their debut novel.
The event offers visitors the opportunity to get to know the author personally and to learn more about her writing process and the background of the novel. The team of the district central library is available for further information and for press inquiries (Contact: press@ba-fk.berlin.de, phone: (030) 90298-2843).
