Desired tree in the library: a heart campaign for children in need
Something wonderful is happening in the Pablo Neruda district central library! District Mayor Clara Herrmann will ceremoniously open the annual desired tree on November 29th at 11 a.m. Together with the association "Give a smile e.V." This tree becomes the radiant center of the common good campaign in the foyer! It is not only comfortable here, but also generous.
By December 14th, everyone has the chance to meet the Christmas wishes of children and young people from families who are financially struggled. The gifts can be picked directly from the desired stars and handed over unpacked in the library. This commitment is more than a simple Christmas decorations - it is a bright spot for many!
tradition of love and hope
"This year we have a desired tree again in the district central library. Many children and adolescents can be given from families who otherwise do not have the financial options," emphasizes Herrmann. Your words are clear: it is about community, the sharing of joy and creating unforgettable moments. The Friedrichshain-Kreuzberger are called to open their hearts and bags!
A look at the impressive tradition of this campaign: The association has collected wishes of children and adolescents since 2014 - and this year a new record has been set up! A total of 7,000 wishes have been received! This shows that people are ready to put a piece of their beams in the hands of those who need it the most.
joint packaging campaign as a highlight
But that's not all - on December 16 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., a large packaging campaign will take place in the library's workroom. Together the gifts are lovingly packed before they start their way to the happy children! It is an invitation to everyone to actively participate and support this wonderful gesture of charity.
This desired tree campaign is also supported by the district assembly, which shows that this connection between community and administration is strong than ever. Together we set a sign of hope and coexistence!
