District treasury Friedrichshain-West promotes local projects

The district mayor Clara Herrmann recently announced that the district office Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg supports small projects, projects and volunteers as part of the Friedrichshain-West district treasury, in which residents, neighborhood groups and local initiatives actively work for the neighborhood. Several projects were funded last year, including the Mistechko Sprachcafé, the neighborhood salon and the Hungarian amateur play group.

The Mistechko Sprachcafé aims to integrate refugee Ukrainian children and their mothers in Berlin by offering community and neighborhood activities as well as art, integration and educational activities. The neighborhood salon invites you to shared experiences of slowing down, sensitization and regeneration through music and movement. The Hungarian amateur play group rehearses the play "King Pomades new clothes" and plans to perform it in the "satellite" in the Weinstrasse in spring 2024.

From now on, applications from individuals, groups, associations and initiatives that do not work profit -oriented can be submitted. The total funding amount for 2024 is 24,000 euros, although the maximum funding per project is 2,400 euros. Applications are to be sent to the Friedrichshain district center in writing, and the submitted project applications are checked and evaluated in anonymized form by a citizen. Members are still sought for the citizens of jury, and all information and documents can be found on the part of the Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg district office and on the side of the Volkssolidarity Landesverband Berlin e.V. The contact persons for the district treasury and the citizens of jury are Sabine Drangsal and Stefanie Richter. Media contacts can contact press@ba-fk.berlin.de.
